Oh baby, baby girl. How did this happen? How are you ONE? (On Wednesday)
We had your birthday party this weekend. It was wonderful. You were so fun and happy and beautiful. You're always beautiful, but you just lit up the room at your party. I may have gone a bit overboard with your party, but hey, you're worth every little bit. (Just a note to any readers- this will be a very photo heavy post!)

It was almost time for your party to start. People were starting to arrive...and you fell asleep. It was perfectly precious. I put you down for a little nap and woke you up about 30 minutes later. Then you were a happy little camper. Ready for your party! And cake!

We had a grilled cheese bar and cake and cupcakes. Everybody loved the grilled cheese. Especially you!

You downed my grilled cheese (which had Brie, pears, and basalmic vinegar. You are not a normal baby when it comes to food. I love it. You can't get enough flavor)

You held hands with your daddy.

And smiled at mommy.

And got the hang of opening presents!

Bubble wand! Thank you Alex and Alison!

I made you a skirt filled with pom poms. You would have preferred to play with the pom poms instead of having them inside the tulle.

You had a little trouble with some tape that wouldn't let go.

Daddy tried to take your barn (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) away from you to get it out of the package and you followed him.

You clapped for the first time. I almost cried it was so darling.

And then. Then we ate Cake.

One! You are one! You kept holding up one finger. So cute!

All that frosting made you thirsty.
And some decoration photos:

A HUGE thank you to my amazing friends Blake and Sarah Johnson for all their help. Blake took all the pictures and helped with everything, Sarah decorated your cake and cupcakes. cleaned, made food, helped me decorate, was generally amazing. Couldn't have done this without them!
